Bath

Bath is so lovely! I really must return here soon! I got to explore around the Christmas village for an hour or so taking gratuitous Instagram photos as I went. Then I had a delicious baguette at La Baguette and headed off to the YouTube gathering!

It was nice and small and had a lovely feel to it. The venue we were at had hosted shows by The Killers, Radiohead, and loads of other bands, so it was really weird to get to play on the stage. I covered a Charlie song, and his mum quite enjoyed it. :) Lovely! I also played one of my favourite songs, Friday by Rebecca Black; it was fun! Before I knew it, it was time for me to catch my coach home, so off I went!

I can’t wait to go back to Bath and explore it some more; it’s such a cute little town!

Tests in the UK

As incredibly confident as I was going in to taking my 3-hour long Financial Mathematics test at 2 in the morning, I managed a 67%. I really hate that it’s computer based. I lose so many points due to tiny errors in rounding due to the calculator (I practically never round). I’m confident that when I take the final, as a human will be grading me, I’ll be sure to score well over 70% which will net me a >65% overall grade earning me my CT1 test exemption. Yeah! But now it’s 5:30 in the morning, and I think I should sleep. I’ve got a big day of YouTube collabing ahead of me!

The Internet is Such a Weird Phenomenon

Our group was on the tube today, and we befriended an Australian woman who was completely dumbfounded that the group of us were all friends from the Internet. But when you really think about it, that really is so incredibly amazing. That’s something I never would’ve dreamt possible when I was a child. It’s like being immediate penpals with whomever you want! 

Just because she had made a few videos on the Internet that I had watched, some random girl from Wales became someone I recognised and knew about. Isn’t that crazy? 

Whether you’re just a recreational vlogger, someone focused on the business aspects, or even a mix of both, we’re all united in a funny little way through this little website called YouTube where our online interactions can easily transfer into real life friendships and adventures.

I personally find that fascinating.

Career Fair!

So tomorrow I’ve gotta get dressed up to the nines for a career fair at my school. All the top businesses in London and the UK that are looking for help in the actuarial field will be scouting. I’m kindof excited to finally get to wear my suit. I’ll be walking around London looking like a well-made adult with a kid’s face. Life is interesting in many ways.

Got lost in London today

But somehow I wound up in a place called Bloomsbury Square so I took a nice nap before exploring on. :)

My flight to England!

Well that's it! Everything's been finalised; I got my passport and visa within 2 days, and now I'm jumping on a plane bound for London!




These were the first class seats on the plane. I thought they were for everybody at first. Looks like a freikin spaceship or something. 

Also as a note, this was the first flight I had ever gotten food before.



I got a salad, hot chicken with white sauce, a bread roll and a brownie! And then the best part…



They gave me red wine! I didn’t even get carded! And it all came with the flight! How fancy!
London, here I come! 

Apprehension About Moving

I’m still terrified for England because I leave in a week, and I feel like I still have so much left to do, but I don’t know what that so much is. That, and I have no clue who my roommates are; all I know is that they’re all first/second year students, and there are six of them. I hope they’re not loud, and I hope they’re nice. Ahhh. I hope everything works out.
